Our research focuses on visual signal processing in the retina. We use the mouse retina as a model system to elucidate how its neural network processes various kinds of image signaling, such as motion and color. We use patch clamp methods as well as immunohistochemistry and molecular biological techniques to elucidate the physiological functions and morphology of retinal neurons.
